Any Further Experience with the M410R?

We had some initial experience with the M410R (kyocera's 10X optical zoom digicam) but we have not heard much since July.

1. How has the camera worked without stabilization?
2. Do you find that you use the rapid shooting capabilities?

This camera has a lot of features and we don't hear much about it. I would like to hear more from M410R owners, as I am personally interested in this digital camera.

I was going to ask the same thing -- http://www.steves-digicams.com loved it, especially the 0.07 second shutter lag. Also very small and light for an ultra-zoom. Considering this camera, or a Canon S1-IS, or the Sony F717/707.

I have one on order, but I beginning to doubt that it will get here before we have to leave on tomorrow, Wednesday. It is time for us to go back to work, so it may indeed be mid January before I get to see the digital camera and get to use it.

Has anyone had experience with this camera?The new Panasonics (FZ3, FZ15, FZ20) equipped with the Venus II engine all have shutter lags in that same category, from 60 to 80 milliseconds, I believe. I used an FZ20 yesterday, and it was quick!

IMHO it comes down to which digital camera you like to use. When I packed for this trip of 4 1/2 months, I had my choice of more that a few ulta zoom digital cameras. In an effort to reduce what we have to take, I had vowed to take but one 10X digital camera this trip.

I did not take my Panasonic FZ-10, I did not take my Olympus C-765, I did not take my Canon S-1, I took my Kyocera M410R. I personally feel that it is smaller, lighter, and it has more flexibility.

I may have missed some of feedback but I am intrigued with camera but hard to find user review feedback....are people providing generally positive feedback. I am about to buy my 3rd digital and 10X is important to me though i am still not much more than point and shoot!

If you had the option of only buying one camera, would you buy the 410R or the C-765?
