View Full Version : Fuji F10 real sensitivity

A lot of talks in many forums have gone on about the Fuji F10 and its alleged 1600 ISO settings. For those interested in buying, it would be interesting to have a professional review that could assess whether the 1600 ISO is really like that or instead there's a bit of hype on Fuji's side and the real max. sensitivity is more like a real world 640-800 ISO. Although maybe not a deal breaker, it would make a world of difference for many of us.
Is there an upcoming F10 review planned on this site? Or, does anyone know of any online review that has been released yet?
Thank you
Matt

In all fairness, The ISO 1600 setting on the Fuji F-10 is very real indeed! Personally, I feel that the Fuji F-10 represents just a glimpse of what is yet to come to the digital camera world from Fuji!

that camera puts my p150 to shame, if it had manual exposure controls I would upgrade to the fuji in a heartbeat.
The ISO 1600 shots are very impressive for a P&S and the resolving power is incredible.

will try to post pics soon. camera is actually my wife's (i have the fz20). she is not into "experimenting" a lot. she just shoots, then looks at the lcd if she likes it. if not, immediate delete. someone posted pics at dpreview. those are very convincing!

dear everyone,
i hope you can be patient with the pics. all that is in the camera now are skin lesions (my wife is a dermatologist). but she is very happy because she can now take pics of her subjects without flash with the high iso. will try to post more suitable pictures .

Jamison-
Here is a sample digital photo of yours truly taken with just living room lighting, no flash and ISO 1600. The exposure was F 5.0 at 1/105th. The photo you are seeing is a 100% crop.

If you will please look in the "Photo Gallery" and then at "F-10 Photos" you will find all the photo samples thus far. I just took another unique and special photo, a flash photo to meet just your requirements. You will find it attached. I cannot guarantee that I will always do it this fast.
