Very nice gloomy photos Allan.
I thought you were addressing me with that title, and you would be right. :D

All the best, Paul.

Allan-

Yes, I really do think that there is a mood expressed in your photos. Thanks for posting them.

I like the first photo quite a lot, and wouldn't change anything about it. The second photo is good, but not as striking, because the colors are more monochrome. In the second photo, I find the white line of the small breaking wave to be distracting. IMHO, the second photo could benefit from tighter cropping or zoom in on the fishing boat, as it is the key point of interest in this photo. Not cropped or zoomed way in, but cropped or zoomed somewhat closer.

Thanks for all the kinds words, too kind really.

EAP i see what you mean about the colours and the wave being a bit of distraction. The wave i can do something about, the colours.....well unfortunately thats the weather here in the UK most of the time. HA HA HA :) unfortunately. What do you think of the cropped version. It's good to hear what experienced people think, gives me more to think about.

Thanks again all, Allan.

Oh very moody there. I guess it's to do with the downcast skies and all.

Here's another possible way to crop.
