I needed an extra battery for my new FZ5. Where I live they don't sell them so I asked a friend to buy me the Panasonic CGA-S002A/1B

What they bought instead was a Maxwell DC3784 7.4 Volts/680 mAh that the vendor says is made specifically for the Panasonic DMC-FZ15, FZ20, F21, FZ10S, FZ1K, FZ15, FZ3, and FZ10K.* And that it is compatible with the Panasonic CGR-S002.

They also bought a battery charger that is*compatible to the battery and can be plugged in to*a regular outlet or the cigarette lighter in a car. *

The battery charger that plugs to a cigarette lighter in a car is especially interesting, so this second set of battery and charger, could probably be a plus.

Will it work with the Pan FZ5 or should I ask them to return it and continue trying to find the Panasonic CGA-S002A/1B?

Appreciate your responses.
