I would like to suggest a Musical Instrument thread - It might go down like a lead balloon or it may be a fresh new idea... well see.
Music is a great love for me so I would enjoy combining it with the photography. Just today I took delivery of a new Bass for my Son AND better still - a New Alto Saxophone - also for my Son - no photos of them yet as I have to let him open them up.
So - for now - here he is last Christmas at the School Concert on the Baritone Sax (under eposure somewhere between -1.7 and -2.0 for tricky low indoor lighting with spotlights - manual white, Olympus C-740UZ)

That is a great photo. You have great sharpness, and managed to fully capture the mood of that moment as well. Thanks for sharing with us.

Well we got the new instruments - so here's one veiw of the new Yanagisawa Alto Sax...(sorry I would have prefered a bit more DOF so that the name snapped more into focus - but I was looking at the MOP inlaid keys
(Oh - yes, nearly forgot - A-200, 1/6th sec - antishake, f3.5 indoors)

saxophones are beautiful photography subjects. in fact, the two best things you can do with them are photograph them and burn them. ;) (i'm kidding! i'm kidding! call off the pitchforks!) i'm a bassoon enthusiast myself, and double-reed snobbery got the better of me there. my apologies. still, a beautiful photograph, thanks for sharing!

It's alright - my sister is a Bassoonist so I understand.
This might upset you though!! It's jack's new Bass that came yesterday as well as his Sax.
(He calls it his e-Bass as he got it on e-bay!!)
