canon A85 LCD problem

The LCD on this camera has gone dark...no longer able to see through it. I am using the viewfinder instead, and pictures taken are O.K. Any suggestions as to what is wrong with the LCD, and what I might do to remedy it. Note: I've had the camera for 7 months now, with no problems until now.

Are you sure you didn't turn the LCD off?
