olympus 770 sound recording

Does anyone know how the sound recording works when I am taking still pictures. e.g. can I take a whole bunch of stills at a concert and record sound for the whole concert?
Also, how does this camera perform at a live concert in low light?

The camera actually begins recording sound about .5 seconds after capturing the image, and records approximately 4 seconds. Cannot record sound w/o attaching to an image, and clips limited to ~ 4 seconds.

C770's tiny sensor means poor low-light performance. You'll need a tripod, or use flash in close proximity to stage to capture a useable image.
