Wein Safe Sync necessary?

I finally was able to find a Sunpak 383 for my FZ20 and I remember reading somewhere on here about needing a Wein safe sync for flashes. Will this be something I will need/want to get for my flash? If yes, then where might I find one? Thanks for the help.

No a 383 works fine it is mostly the old flashes that had a high trigger voltage. The sunpak 383 trigger voltage is 8 volts ..well within the safe limit . Just start shooting.
