Night Owl or B&H--Any problems w/ these vendors?

:rolleyes: Going to buy my Panasonic DMC FZ5 with a UV lens and extra battery to start, and was going to go with one of these vendors. Night Owl has what he says is a "preorder" waiting list but should be available within 2-3 weeks.
Night Owl has the best price I've found, but I'm leary of being put on a waiting list (Card is not charged til shipment he says). Any thoughts?

I've never had experience with either of these companies and I've never heard of Night Owl but BH Photo is supposed to be one of the few reliable, honorable New York based discount photo companies around. They have a good reputation for low prices and not trying to sell you expensive accessories with your camera.

Like I said, I've never had direct experience with these companies...just what I've heard.

B&H is an awesome place to buy things from. I've bought several things from them. It also never hurts to call them instead of ordering over the web. They have more than once given me as a caller on the phone a better price than available on the web.

I have bought a few things at B&H and recently bought a digital camera there. Excellent place all around.

I have bought many items from BH and never had a problem. Mail order or internet order they are pretty good. U should go their NY place man o man looks like a candy store for photographers.

I'd say go with B&H Photo as they're more established.

Night Owl.... but have done a lot of business with B & H and can advise you they are quite reliable....but closed this week because of Passover Holiday.

B&H is the best. No hassle and great service. Their prices aren't always the lowest but in the balpark.
