The True Beauty of NYC - 1

Where's Beth? Her comments have insprired me to attempt to show the true beauty of New York...

Every so often, I will post various shots from around town that try to capture that certain, special feeling that Manhattan residents feel for their home...

I'll start here in my neighborhood. The Queensboro Bridge (aka The 59th St. Bridge) taken from Sutton Place Park, approx. 2:30 pm.

Here I am! Very nice photos! Question for you: one of the photos shows pretty blue sky and the other one kind of blah white sky (which is the color of the sky I am used to here in Southern California...yuk). Was it overcast in the "white" photo or is it haze/pollution? I guess what I am trying to say is that if you usually have pretty blue sky in New York I am impressed, as the sky is usually so ugly here in So Cal.

Looking South and West, white, white, white. It was the late afterenoon, and the sun was already squarely Southwest, so that seems to have been a contributing factor...

In the Spring and Fall, we have some incredibly clear blue sky days! I was in San Diego a couple of times and the sky there seemed pretty blue to me...but I never saw a blue sky in L.A.! Yellow, maybe... :D
