Damn! I've almost ordered Canon PowerShot G6! What else to buy?

I like its features and sample photos very much. I've almost ordered Canon PowerShot G6 today but it hit me that video mode is just 10/15 fps! For that camera class it's a shame.

What else can I buy for the same $700 with (approximately) the same quality of 5-7Mpixels pictures and full-featured video?

However, in the long term, the Canon G-6 has indeed received better reviews. Other cameras within the 7mp world include:

Don't you care more about taking pictures, especially at this level? If you were just looking at a small consumer camera, I'd understand, but you're looking at a high-end fixed lens camera. You know well at that level that you have a camera to take pictures, not to make movies.

If you must consider another option, the only other camera I'd look at is the V3, but you better watch for that aperture problem, because it'll bite you if you aren't aware of it.
