View Full Version : angled viewfinders?
hi all, i've been searching the web for an angled eyepiece to use with the viewfinder on slr's but with no luck. does anyone know what they are officially called, where i could find them, or what keywords to use on search engines? i keep getting results for telescopes. i also found one on ebay a few weeks ago but it was going for more than $100. is that normal?
btw, i'm currently using a 300d/digital rebel. thanks!

on the canon web site, there appears to be an "Angle Finder C" piece going for $280:
"Angle Finder C lets you adjust the viewing angle while providing a 2.5x magnification for critical focusing with a full screen image that also shows exposure data.
Provided with built-in dioptric adjustment for variations in eyesight.
Includes: Adapter Ec-C and Ed-C to fit any EOS camera."

there also appear to be eyepiece extenders and eye cups though they won't help with the whole angle part much! :p
hope it helps,

Hi
I bought the Angle Finder C from a Hong Kong seller on ebay for £108, which was the cheapest I could find from a 100% seller. You may see it a little cheaper. But before you buy, see if you can find somewhere that you can try it.
I bought it for macro work and was a little dissapointed. Optically it is perfect and the 2.5 magnification switch is great and build quality is great, I just found it hard to use, the eye cup did not seem to fit my eye comfortably :( It was hard to read the settings at the bottom. I can not see myself using it nearly as much as I thought I would.
