I thought it may be a good Idea to start a thread on this wonderful site with the focus of sharing our thoughts and opinions on reading material on all things photography related. I apologize if there is a post buried somewhere in here that deals with this very topic.

I use adobe photoshop 3.0 -- I love the organizer and the editor far surpasses my requirements as much as I would love to have CS and get to know it very well, as of know the 650 dollar price tag is far too much.

For adobe PS3.0 I have purchased the following books and found them very insightful, both very good reads. I enjoyed Scott Kelby's approach in both of the books to be very refreshing.
The Photoshop Elements 3 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby
Photoshop Elements 3 Down & Dirty Tricks by Scott Kelby

If anyone else has any books or literature or links to sites they would like to share that pertains to a photography topic that they enjoyed and found enlightening please feel free to share it with us!
I personally would like to know if anyone has come across a good book on how to get started running a small business I am curious about investing time and money in photography and seeing if I can not earn some extra money on the side and I am currently doing research to find everything out that I can. I always am searching for a great photography book... Please share!
Thank you everyone in advance!

Hi

Yes, I've another book to recommend. Its called The Adobe Photoshop CS Book for Digital Photographers (http://www.basic-digital-photography.com/adobe-photoshop-cs-book-for-digital-photographers.html) (also by Scot Kelby). This guy is the best, he's the President of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). He really knows his stuff.

Also, I run a website on digital photography called Basic-Digital-Photography.com (http://www.basic-digital-photography.com). I've been running it for almost 6 months now. It's been a labor of love and I'm putting in all sorts of tips and tricks, product reviews of digital cameras into it. Do check it out if you like :)

I also have a great book to reccommend. It is entitled, "Digital Cameras Made Really Easy." This unique book takes the reader from the out of the box experience, that is when you open up that digital camera box for the very first time on to advanced techniques.

Then it proceeds to take you in a step by step fashion from simple symbols that you find on your digital camera all the way through to very advanced techniques like Exposure Compensation. All in all it is a great book that teaches a photographer a whole lot.

I certainly think it is worth taking a long look at. Just please go to www.digitalcamerasmadereallyeasy.com. I am sure you will be glad you at least took a look at this fabulous book.

I got a great Adobe Photoshop CS book yesterday. It is called Classroom in a book The official training workbook from Adobe Systems. "Classroom in a book is a great resource for new users who want a hands-on introduction with 20 lessons and for more advanced users who want to learn creative methods of working in the program." I got it at Barnes & Noble.
