After a bit of research, I've got my eye on a camera, but don't know whether people would reccomend a different model for what I need:

Price: I'm in the UK, but quick conversion gives <350 dollars

Size: compact camera - not SLR body

Features: 3 or 4 megapixel, 3-5x zoom, image quality importance about 8, manual controls not neccesary but would be nice to have if I get any better at photography

General usage: taking pics of my friends, stuff i'm up to, storing on computer mostly, maybe print out at 6x4, very occasionally bigger. probably quite a few indoor photos, some low light, possibly some pics of ultimate frisbee games but this is not serious photos

Looking around, up pops the Canon Powershot A520. Anyone think there's anything better for what I need? :)

Canon A520 is a very good camera... provided you are willing to wait for 10-12 seconds between shots while using the flash.... I personally tried the A520, and it almost convinced me to purchase it, when I discovered that it has "subnormal", "pathetic" performance while using the flash. You can find this to be a major complaint across all forums on this website (and several other websites). If only I could have found a workaround for this "annoying" problem, I would have purchased the A520, instead of my A95 (I still love my A95!!!)
