Hi guys, i'm asking this question here as it's directly relevent and I have some pics I want to share so just wondering... are there any great sites for hosting photos with a large capacity? I don't mind paying a small amount a year,. I just want a stable base for sharing my pics and somewhere that's easy to sue and create different sections/categories for my pics. :)

No personal experience, but you said ASAP, so :) ... A lot of people here seem to use PBase (http://www.pbase.com) or smugmug (http://www.smugmug.com) to host their galleries .. iirc, both are somewhere in the range of 20 to 30 dollars a month.

For a free gallery that has a file size limit, try Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/)
I use this for simple posting in forums.
Smugmug (http://www.smugmug.com/) is my main gallery though, you can upload up to 100mb in a folder in one hit.
The basic package costs $30 a year and you can save $5 by entering this code if you take one up.

They do a referral scheme, where the person with the code gets a discount for the next year's gallery.

My personal vote would have to go for Imageevent.com
I have used it for a while and I like it quite a bit better than Smugmug. Thats just my personal opinion of course. It costs $25 per year with a picture capacity of 1500 photos. You can pay a one time fee of $25 and get the limit increased to 3000 however, which means the second year would cost $25 and you would still have the 3000 picture limit. Check it out, I like it quite a bit.

Queestion though: i've uploaded some photos to photobucket, is there any way of making the galleries publicly viewable to you guys?
EDIT - OK ive clicked the "make public" option, still having trouble seeing how to show them...

I kinda like Pbase as it seems to provide more of the EXIF info on photos and doesn't degrade the image quality.
I have my own website and if I wanted I could put a shopping basket so that I could sell my photos but really, I'm not that bothered right now.

Hi,
I found a great website at http://www.greatestjournal.com.
It provides free image hosting and I think its unlimited storage too :)
