Charly is definitely true-to-breed - the more senstiive and sweet natured of them.

Heheh, Charly gets that sad-sap look too. Someone I know says that the universe made them that way so they'll never go hungry. Too true - especially of my late Springers who lived for food and were dirty rotten scoundrels when it came to stealing whatever they could. I've seen a stunning pic of another Springer on this thread. What a gorgeous dog!

Thanks byron, it was taken with my D200 & 70/200, f/11 1/80. He knows why the photo is being taken, a degenerative disease, a few other life threatening illnesses & hello, two new Dalmatian puppy's. Sadly, as well as whatever the term, this one will leave the mark.

The second one is obviously a Pomerania but that particular photo turned out a bit blury...thought I'd post it anyway because of his pose. I'll try to get some better ones of him but he, like Turo's dog, is a little hard to photograph. He knows what a camera is and usually does everything he can to avoid someone getting a decent shot of him it seems. lol

Your pictures are great. I especially like the first one, the way the light hit that collar thing and reflected onto him. To make the photos into a smaller size, you need to use a computer program and "resize" them. Google's free Picasa will do it. You want your resized version to be no longer than 800 pixels on a side. Keep posting, I look forward to seeing more of your pics.

Perhaps you could go back and use the "edit" function on your post :D

Click on "edit" then on "advanced". Open the "manage attachments" to remove the large images and then upload the newly resized versions... to avoid having to scroll to view images I keep them in the 650 x 650 range.

These aren't my dogs, rather they are a couple of the sled dogs at the ski hill helping to provide some dog sled rides.

It's a doggy! Not my doggy, unfortunately, but the owner was happy enough to get her to "stay" so I could get a picture.

Not my dog, but a cool action shot. Too bad the background sucks ... but when you're at a heavily used dog park, you can't expect much in that regard.
