Need camera for wife

I currently have a F717 that I love. It is a little to big and confusing for my wife. I would like to get her something small and simple for taking pics of our 1 year old. Because it is a second camera, I would like to keep it inexpensive. I was looking at the Sony DSC-S40. I can't find a good review on it. Do you think I would disappointed with it?

Any other opinions?
