Hey all,
I have been using digital cameras for a long time now and the past cameras that have gone through my hands include the Nikon coolpix 3200 and the more recent canon digital ixus v2. Both of which I had great fun with thanks to some photoshopping. Now I have decided to buy myself something better and more professional and im thinking of moving to the digital SLR range but im not even sure that such a big jump is necessary for me at this particular time. I am planning a recent trip to Norway and have always been a fan of long exposure low light condition shots! With the trip in mind im hoping to capture some shots of the aurora and im confused about which kind of digital camera to go for. Sometimes I think I might as well stay away from the hardcore digital SLR's as being a student I cant quite afford one but then a part of me wants to go ahead and take the *risk*
someone recommended the "Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200" saying it would keep me away from the trouble of spending a large amount of money on the camera body and the separate lenses that come along with the SLR's and quite honestly I have very limited knowledge of how to work an SLR lens as well.
Basically I just want a good digital camera that can give me the satisfaction of taking long exposure shots and also would be easy on my pocket!
Any suggestions/recommendations/guidance would be highly appreciated!
Cheers
