I wish I had taken a sequence of a pile driver in Riga that I saw. It was actually powered by a 2-stroke diesel engine that had no silencer. The pile driver would fall, powered by the diesel engine and would rise on a spring. It was a single cylindar setup. I'd imagine it'd be illegal in most western countries.
