Rick Sammon's Complete Guide to Digital Photography is a good book. Do a search in the forum for this topic I think there is a thread on this.

One of the best books you'll ever read on photography is Understanding Exposure (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0817463003/qid=1113490180/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-5148730-2346536?v=glance&s=books&n=1000) by Bryan Peterson. :)

What bout a book for Adobe Photo Shop CS2?

Something easy with color pix [if possible].

amazon.com user reviews usually don't lie. Just look up the digital photography section and see which CS2 book has the most (positive) reviews.

For general photography books, forget the recent digital guides and look at any film photography based books.
They all tell you how to take a picture, it's just the developing that's changed.

I love Bryan Peterson's "Learning to See Creatively" book and I've learned a lot from it.

Gary Hendricks recommended one of Bryan Peterson's other books that I was thinking about buying this weekend.

If you are looking for any book on anything photoshop you must look at anything done by Scott Kelby. I own two of his Photoshop Elements 3.0 books and I love em, I am thinking about dropping 600 bucks on CS just so I can use his books on CS... Ok maybe not, but almost! ;) They are excellent books! I would recommend them to anyone. Clear, consise, plain english, straight forward, great color photos, teaches you how to and shows you how to, priceless books!
