Blue Star-
Overall, very nice digital photos. I am concerned about the #1 digital photo, though. A quick scan gives a pleasing evaluation. However, then I began to look in the upper left hand corner. What happened?

Thanks for your comments.
Can you be more specific about the issue in #1 ? I tried but cant locate anything on left hand corner  I can see a spec in right side around middle of frame which I should have cropped....
By the way, if you see carefully. I slightly overexposed all the shots to bring some reflection in sky & add some colors to water. Does this works for you ?

Just for those reasons we sometimes have to divide a photo into two distinct parts, to get the best of each portion. Perhaps, that is what I am seeing.

forgive me for being so dumb :o
I checked all my RAW files again. Now i do see color noise in the sky. Is this what you are talking about ?
I am confused, why would iso 100 produce color noise ....
Is this because I over-exposed ? or normal for DSLR ?

OK, I think the s/w I used to create the gallery make them look worse !
I just resized original images with PS & reloaded them. You should see better results now.

Actually I think its the process your using to resize and upload them to the web. The images don't look as if the were Constrained upon resizing.

Just out of curiosity, what settings did you use? Which Sigma lens, also? Thanks!

Man I love this place. Yokohama is where I like to go when I'm in the area. I usually stay in Shin-Yokohama as I used to go out to Sagami Hara a lot. Out by where Norm lives in Fujina. Now my new companies office is in Shin-Yokohama. I was just there the end of February. Unfortunately, my D70 didn't make the trip. I'll probably be back in October (I like to miss the summer humidity ;) ).
Looks like you were on the North end of Yamashita park. You might try to get some shots of the promenade at night as well, and maybe China Town. Like I said Yokohama is a great place to go. Thanks for instant memories.

Hey, I know that place. I just took a concert cruise on the Royal Wing last year--the port where it docks has a great futuristic looking deck made of Brazilian Ipe. A couple of the photos look like they might be a tad overexposed--sort of misty or washed-out, but I'm not sure.
Norm@sitting in Tokyo in the rain as I write this.

JTL,
I took all these in manul mode, iso100, f11/13, 10-30 sec exposures. I over exposed a bit to bring some color to sky& water but seems like it didnt worked out that great.
