Ive narrowed my camera choices to the canon a-95 and the olympus c-5500, my only real concern left on the c-5500 is its size, ive played around with the a-95 and i like its size, however if the c-5500 is just a little bigger it might be worth it for me to go for it(i do have big hands) however i also want to make sure its not so big that i end up not taking it with me ahlf the time. Please give any feedback you can. Tnaks soo much.

Joe-

Thanks for your post regarding a decision between the Canon A-95 and the Olympus C-5500. Size is a very personal consideration primarily due to the fact that people have differt size hands and different levels of manual dexterity.

I have been in this game for over 50+ years, and my one very firm rule is this: Any camera that I purchase has to feel well in hand. In other words, it should feel very easy to use, like something I am going to have fun with, and like it has the potential to easily take some great photos. It is a very subjective thing, sort of like a hunch or a feeeling. But be willing to go with those feelings.

A camera, be it digital or film, that you tend to leave at home a lot and not take it with you, is not the camera for you. Perhaps purchasing it, was not wise.

IMHO: I personally do not trust the Olympus brand because my Olympus Stylus 300 just died apparantely for no reason, despite not being dropped at all!! I think it is totally unreliable! The Canon brand is much better(both interms of quality and reliability) if you are willing to ignore the E18 (rumor) talks going on the fourms!!!

Ofcourse, opinions may differ from individuals!!!!

Good luck on your purchase!
