Thats the question. I can get the 2 1GB's for about $8.00 cheaper than the 1 2GB with free shipping. I have one 1 GB already but plan on using the other two strictly for RAW images.

Spread the risk over several cards?

Yes, I agree spread the little risk out on two cards.. and Newegg.com rocks! I buy frequently from there have never had any problems! and your right two 1 giggers are cheaper than one 2 gigger... what are you going with... I am going to be buying the SanDisk 1.0GB ultra II. I have a transcend 512MB and I have been happy with this.. Transcend makes a 1 GB but I do not know if it is as fast as the SanDisk, I do not think it is as fast.

I'd go for two 1 GB cards. Why? Always better to spread the risk in case on crashes.

i agree with the "two is safer" practice.
