Hi all,
After months of researching, and reading tons and tons of reviews, I've finally purchased the Canon Powershot A95 digital camera (with 4 2300mah sony rechargeables and charger and 2 Sandisk 256 MB Ultra II Compactflash cards) !!! And with $274 shipped, I think it is a steal !!!
I've also tried the A520 for 15 days and o man... it was really a very tough decision to decide between the two. I'm really impressed with the A520 series and these were the following aspects of the A95 that convinced me to go for a A95 rather than a A520:
1. A520 flash was a turtle while using the flash. (Even my Olympus stylus 300, which has only moderate reviews performed much much better than this one, in this aspect).
2. A520 has far less reviews than A95, and in every website, A95 had lot more positive reviews than A520 (because it is relatively new)
3. A520's flash had a less powerful flash than the A95
Inspite of the nightmarish E18 error (or a rumor) on the Canon point-n-shoot range, I went a head with the A95, because, the pix clarity and low light performance is by far the best of all the other point-n-shoot cameras.
I hope the A95 will keep up to it mark, and not make me regret my decision.
Regards,
