I'd like a camera for mostly photographing kids, in and outdoors, close and from distance, for normal sized pictures;
needs; at least 3 megapix, 5x optical zoom, LCD 1.8", low shutter lag and not too big and heavy, image stabilization, AF assist ?,
Budget <$500, need no manual controls (don't know much about photography) .
Sony;
very fast, most 3x optical zoom, except V3 (4x), maybe wait for new model H1 (12xzoom) but too big (?)
Olympus;
765/770 pretty nice cameras with 10x zoom, shutter lag ? slow ?
new model 5500 looks better (5x OZ)
Panasonic (LZ2 new model)
release April, looks cool as well (5 megapix, 6xOZ)
Maybe other brand or model?
