SD300: Mount SD card on desktop

I just got an SD300 and was wondering if it was possible to mount the SD card on the desktop when the camera is connected via USB so I can drag photos and movies of the card like a regular mounted disk.

I had a Nikon 4300 that would do this when it was connected, but I don't know if it is possible on the Powershot.

Oh, I'm using Mac OS X.

If you are using OSX, when you connect your camera using the USB cable, does the card mount on the desktop or can it be made to if it doesn't?
