Hi Folks

I just got the Fuji 5100/5500. Nice camera, but I wish the LCD was larger (which shortly it will be as Fuji is planning to release a replacement model)

Anyways, in the specs it says that the F stop of the camera starts at 2.8. However, the minimum F stop that I can on my camera in all modes is F2.9. Seems strange to me, but I was wandering if you get the same thing, or maybe it is some kind of a software bug or a hardware defect.

Thanks for you feedback

How do you like the movies?

Jeff's sample here is marvelous but fairly slow motion.

At $230 AR (from Dell.com) the S5100 is looking like a lot of bang for your buck!

Mine's just a month old. The cheapest I could do here (Australia) was $548, which is about $438USD. Believe me, for that price here, it's damn good value.

As an "old F@rt", I don't use the LCD anyway, much preferring the "viewfinder". I am absolutely rapt in mine -- it has brought photography back to life for me after an absence of nearly a quarter of a century! That's when I last D&Ped my own photos.

It may have faults, but it eats my mate's 4 MP Olympus hands down in ease of use, lens, optical zoom and photo quality.

Yes, the camera has different names in different markets. USA is, I believe, S5100, while here in Australia it's the 5500. Same camera AFAIK.
