just got i ttoday. It does make the noise in the movie mode. Sort of has a rhythm to it too.. Comparing it to my G3.
1. Indoor scene mode very good. Very bright pics. The G3 does good on th emian subect but dark around. ( I know you can get the G3 to do anything you want, but I'm just comparing P&S capabilities)
2. Macro mode excellent, despite other reviews to the contrary. This is where 7mp really shines through. You really can crop heavily with out ANY degradation. REALLY!
3. Auto focus extremely fast, except in full telephoto position. G3 very slow auto focus AND has to hunt in full tele position.
4. Detail superior, even in 4 x 6 prints. Again, this is where 7 mp wins.
5. Definately no blurry shots on the SD500 (I think I read that somewhere on this forum). Focuses fast and accurate.
6. Hate the flimsy rubber A/V door. Have a feeling it wont be there in about six months.
7. How do you attach pics in this forum? Can't find the attachment icon!
