www.megapixel.net reports that you cannot use the Pentax 750Z digital zoom during movie recording at the higher 640x480 (VGA) movie size (at this link: http://www.megapixel.net/reviews/pentax-optio750/optio750-gen.php ). You can use it during the smaller 320x240 movies.
If anyone owns this camera do they know if this is true?
Seems kinda dumb because 7 megapixels should easily allow for digital zooming at VGA resolution (especially in the 2x digital mode, maybe not the 8x mode). In addition, most of the other comparable cameras (Olympus C7000, Canon S70, and even ultra compacts like the Casio EX Z750, Nikon 7900, etc) allow using the digital zoom.
I guess they know noise it too high or ?
