View Full Version : Anyone use this?
A friend sent a link to some free viewing and editing software. I am currently using Picasa 2 to organize my photos, but was wondering if any one has used this vendor's software and cares to comment. Thanks.

I have just found FastStone in the last couple of weeks.
I use the PhotoResizer software to resize images for a website - they seem to be a better qulity than the other software I was using and have forgotten what it was !
I also needed to grab some images from a document file and used their capture software last night. It worked great.
I think they have some good products but their interfaces are not the best.

My friend has been using this for a little while now, it's a good tool, like mentioned before, the user interface takes some getting used to but once you get accustomed to it it is a very good tool to have at your disposal.
Thanks to you as well, Gary.

Faststone has a great feature for comparing photos. I have four different RAW file converters and often use more than one on problem images. Faststone allows a simple way of displaying different images on the same screen and they are all in sync so you can move and zoom all images at one time.
I recently used C1, CS, RES and DPP on the same image and Faststone made it simple to see the differences between the conversions.
