Where is the best place to buy lenses for a Canon EOS dSLR taking into account both price and reputation of the company? I got my Tamron lense from bhvideo, but I wanted to know if there were other good places to buy from.

Thanks,
Jason

Besides B&H I have used Norman Camera in Michigan. But most times I buy lenses locally. It costs a little more, but if I don't like the lens I can return it today, no-muss-no-fuss, and local camera stores can be good places for information.

I second this recommendation and highly recommend that you purchase all lenses from a local store. If you happen to get a bad lens, it's not much trouble and not much time lost to exchange it at the store. But if you buy it online, you have to ship it back, and that whole process is at the very least a big waste of time even if the vendor has an excellent return policy. Pay up the extra 5-10% and buy locally.
