Please help me. I'm desperately searching for a long time now, for any point and shoot that has
a) very quick response time.. switch on, snap, switch off, shutter speed between pictures the fastest available, no lag in processing by either the lcd or the unit itself
b) at least 4 mp
c) relatively less image blurring (does not need to have image stablisation). just the best minimal blurring as possible.
Please help.

The only one that I can see has all these features is the Ricoh Caplio R2. Sad that it is not available in the US.
Anyone with better ideas, pls help.

Sony DSC P200 is real fast, and takes fantastic pictures...but that's a 7.2 mexapixel. It's $400, if you had a price range in mind.

Try the Canon SD300. It has 4 megapixels, super fast and costs around $300

Take a look at the Kyocera SL300R/SL400R.
It has some drawbacks, such as less than great picture quality, bad battery life, no optical viewfinder, and a company that no longer exists, but it's one of the fastest non-DLSR's.
From reviews, it seems that you can fill up a whole (256MB?) high speed card at its highest resolution in just a bit over a minute(!), shooting 3.5 frames a second.
It's not so good in low-light as well, so maybe it won't be the best for you, but it surely is one of the fastest cameras on the market.

Hi, any of the ultracompact cameras in this list (http://www.basic-digital-photography.com/top-10-ultracompact-digital-cameras.html) should fit the bill. Take your pick :)

I read a review on the Olympus Sport C-5500 this morning and it is also very fast starting, has 5mp and 5X Optical zoom.
