This is a repost, but I think I will get better response in here...

Im looking for some wide angle lenses for a Sony V3 that wont stab my wallet! I know about the Sony VCL-DEH07VA ...is it any good or is there better for the money? And if there are others, what adapters would and if I need?

I notice alot of wide angle lenses on ebay...but I am very wary of scammers(Im from NY andknow all about NYC stores)...I dont want cheap immatation crap!

Give me some direction...I am a beginner!

Thanks!

The best advice I can give you is "try before you buy". Of all of the 3rd party lenses out there most of them are junk.

Thanks Robert, so you would recommend the Sony Lense?

I'm exceedingly tempted by the V3 and would also like to know if anybody has any experience with the VCL-DEH07VA wide angle conversion lens from Sony, or any other suitable wide angle lens for this camera.
Is it worth buying along with the camera?

Sef...

Its sooo hard to get any input of info on these lenses. I find it very hard to find any kind of reviews anywhere, maybe because they are proprietary to the V3.

Anyhow, I probably will be buying them and take a chance...not that I would really have anything that I could compare it too.

Here is a little thread in the galley section on the V3 with some pics...
