I seriously like this camera, and it's taken me into nearly 1000 clear, good-looking shots so far.

I pushed it to the limit last night. I got in the front row of a Shonen Knife show (ears still ringing), and took a bunch of band shots. While I get nearly 100% perfect shots under typical conditions, the club setting yielded about 10% decent shots. The reason: band didn't allow flash.

I'm certain my pictures would have turned out materially better if I had use of flash, but the camera was truly laboring under the poor club lighting (and band members who didn't stand still).

I guess that's why we have SLR's -- though I doubt I would have had better luck with my trusty Canon T90.

Did you try using the 400 ISO setting?

Hey,

All p&s digicams have trouble with low light-no flash situations. 1 solution is to bump up the iso, but that will reduce image quality. And yes, dSLR's would be a better bet for that situation.
