I have a 14mo. old (read, out of warr.) p-72 which in the last week has lost approx.50 pic's of my granddoughters . I will take several picks then turn it off to save the batt.then, After 3 to 6 cycles in 15to 30 min, it will lock up . The power lite will go out but, the lense will not retract and the lcd has no display but glows dimly. Pushing the on/off button has no effect .If I open the memory stick door the stick is flashing (as it does when downloading pic's) and a red led is flashing in side the door. Pushing the reset or removing the batt's will restore all functions but,all pic's taken in that session will be erased. pic's from previous sessions will still be there. Sony service says they will repair it for a flat fee of $183. I said I'll bet you would!!!! Any ideas.?
