;) I have just purchase a Z series photo copy/printer

for $180 its a bloody good printer the photo's iv taken on my 5mp camera are a sharp as they get and the print speed is quite fast.

But same old same old/ INKJET

at $50 a cartrage and it takes 4 yep thats right 4x$50 = $200?

your probably thinking its cheaper to buy a new printer (well i suppose it is in a way) but what i didnt realize is that the cartriges that are shipped with a printer are only for demonstration purposes and are only 1/8 full where as my new cartriges have lasted a lot longer iv done 30-40 A4 photo's at BEST QUALITY and its still got a quater left. what i like about this printer really is the software and the power button it has been designed very nicely.

the software has a very accurate reading of how many ML is left in the cartriges ( yes that is ml as in a 5ml teaspoon) the power buton lights up wit a nice blue LED and turns green when lots of ink and turns red slightly when low on ink and proceds to get even more red when the ink gets lower.

its one of the nicest printers i have had

another bonus is the 4th cartrige (black) it handles grey and black so leaving the colors alone to print ..... yes you guessed it COLOR~!

all in all its marvelous.

ANYONE ELSE HAVE ONE?

Check on eBay. I had a Z series printer (got a new one with rebate when I bought my Nikon) and purchased generic cartridges out of Canada for pennies on the dollar! Buying in bulk helps too.

The Lexmark does work ten times better than the Canon.

Purchased one a couple of months ago to replace my old HP Deskjet for general printing as I do not like using my Epson 2200 for non photo work. It is the Z810 Model that I got for $100. Cdn. I was impressed with the picture print quality as well. Have not had to replace ink cartridge yet but it is getting low.
