Using my Canon A95|Shutter Speed 1/13|ISO 400|Free Hand :D. I used an evaluation copy of Helicon Filter to clean up the Noise at 5MP. Not too bad I thought:

Very nice shot - I love the brown tones in your dog and how it fits in with the environment.

Thanks gary ... I'm really enjoying this camera so far. Can't wait to actually get out and use it more but due to work and our sorry weather of late haven't had too many opportunity's.
Are there any good FREE noise reduction applications? I like Helicon Filter but don't know if its worth the $39 or not.
Hehe Soo cute. :) Try neat image you'll love it.

Not bad ... I'll give it a try. Is that the Home Edition? I see it has a Profile for the Canon A95.
Download the free trial and see if you like it.

I downloaded the Demo Edition and works pretty good for a first timer. See if you can tell the difference in these two photos:

What ISO you using? The second one looks far better. You did a great job removing the noise without affecting the details. Theres still some small isolated pockets of noise. Try increasing the high frequency noise level slider in your noise filter settings and see if that helps.

Thanks for the tip. I believe is was ISO 100 but for some reason in didn't record the EXIF totally.
