I have a canon s200, and am happy with it. I am wondering if for my purposes I would notice the difference in picture quality if I upgraded to either the S400/S410, or the SD400? I use the camera mainly for people shots at parties, etc., so I don't need more zoom. I rarely make prints larger than 5x7, and I don't use the movie feature. The anti-redeye works fairly well on the S200.

You'll get larger prints but not a significant difference in quality. If you don't make large prints, use movie mode and don't need any more zoom, then you can stick to your S200, as long as it can work that is.
If you want a cheap upgrade, choose one of the S Elphs - They run on the same type of battery and card. If you want a faster, better camera, choose one of the SD Elphs - Keep in mind though that they run on NB-3L batteries (Opposed to NB-1L & NB-1LHs) and SD cards (Instead of CF cards)

thanks.
Do you know why on the S line and the SD line the anti redeye feature works well on some models but not others? I thought they all use the same method: the AF assist light stays on for 1 second before the picture is taken.
