Hello,

This afternoon I dropped my Photosmart 635 while changing the batteries. It only fell a couple feet onto tile and it still powers up and all camera functions are normal... except I the exposure on it is out of whack now. All images are ultra bright and highlights wind up being coloured and pixelated. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or if anyone is familiar with how the UV filter is applied into the lens path? (It seems like a UV filter has stopped working/been displaced)

Sample pics are on my site here:

Any assistance/comments appreciated. :(

Hey,

I'm sorry to hear about your camera accident. And "Gravity DOES Suck! lol It is possible that the UV filter could have been displaced which is causing the overexposure. I am not a professional, and as most people say, you should definitely "take it to a professional".

Is your camera still under warranty? If so, take it back to HP to repair it. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your camera.

Otherwise, if your repair cost is over $300 (Or even $200), you mind as well get another camera. I own one myself but I seldom use it since there's no burst mode - Only taken out when I need to record movies.
