Here's a crop of a picture at 100%. I was disappointed to see the errant blue pixels. They appear in the same position (308 right, 414 down) in each of the pictures I've checked.

The pictures was taken at 2016 X 1512 (jpg with least compression) with an ISO setting of 100. Not sure it is worth sending the camera back as I can fix it in Photoshop. Any comments?
That said, I did take this nice butterfly picture yesterday.

You payed a lot of money for that camera. If it's under warrenty you should definately get it fixed. If it's not under warrenty you should at least try to find out how much it would cost.

My last digital camera had a similar problem, in low light a few red pixels always fired. This isn't normal, it's a manufacturing defect in the CCD. Get in touch with Panasonic and make them fix it for you - it is a flaw and you should not have to "fix" it, they should.

Jaynads, was your problem with an FZ-20 or another camera?
My camera is under warrantee but I am concerned that Panasonic won't send a new camera, just a refurb that might have a different problem.

It was with a Ricoh 5300 - your basic point and click digital camera, not the FZ-20, which I love.
Rather than being concerned about what Panasonic might do, contact them directly and find out. http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/wwwconsumer/customersupport/CustomerFeedback.jsp?modelNo=
Be firm with what you want - your camera was manufactured improperly. At the very least, they should repair your camera. This all may mean a few weeks camera-less. Of course, if it was a refurbished model to begin with, they may be a lot less lenient. However, a faulty CCD is not acceptable, regardless of whether the camera was new or refurbished. Refurbished is supposed to mean that either there was a less than desireable asthetic defect, or the camera didn't work properly and was repaired. Just make sure you specify that this isn't a pixel on the LCD, which is acceptable, but in the final picture, no matter where it is displayed.
Good luck!
