Recently purchased a FZ15 from B&H and I am very happy with it. When I looked at FZ20 at a local Circuit City, I was told it did a bad job with action shots, as do all digital non-SLR cameras. Not the best sales pitch but here is some proof under the right conditions, you can get a decent picture.
Location: Warm-ups of the Mercyhurst College - UConn Atlantic Hockey Playoff game in Erie, PA. Saturday, March 12th.
Photo Information. Shot in "A" mode set a f2.8. Set at IS0 200 with white balance set by using the "White Set" option aiming at the ice. Exposure was 1/100. Manual focus with burst shooting. Post-processing was done using GIMP. All I did was use the use "auto" function in the Levels dialog box, then cropped and resized.
One pad is a little blurred (those goalies are fast), but the uniform and mask look sharp. Color looks good, too. Comments?
