Olympus 410 - am I making the right choice?

I need a compact digital camera for using mostly outdoors. I intend to use it while doing all sorts of activities like hiking, fishing, hunting etc but also indoors at fx family gatherings and such. Many of the pics will be taken at low light conditions and I would prefer to have enough zoom so that a deer or bird don't look like a little spot on the photo. I usually carry the camera in a pouch but sometimes just puts it in a pocket among whatever might be laying there - I'm a little concerned about the lens as most models has no covers. I like to have good quality pics with as little noise as possible. THe camera shuld cost about $400.
So the other day I purchased an Olympus Stylus 410 - I'm not sure I made the right decision - What do you think?
