Thanks for all the info. We decided to buy the FZ 15, which should be great for our tip. We searched for the bet price and the stores that were the lowest were Beach, and Buy Dig. Has anyone had any experience with them?
Also, what's the best place to buy an extra battery and 128 or 256 memory cards.

Buydig is a pretty good company, but its been a couple years since I bought from them.

I bought mine from Ibuydigital.com at
the beginning of February, came within the week.
Total cost including shipping was $393.
Did it all on the web without speaking to a
sales rep.
It was complete with warranty, manuals and all
the included accessories.
Is working great.
this afternoon. They tried to sell accessories and extended warantee to me but did not bother me once I said no.
By the way, I taped a small aluminum foil under the flash (and extending past the flash window) as the reflector and increase the flash output to maximum and it can take decent bounce-flash indoor photo at iso 150.

I can't speak for hlu, but I've done something similar. It was nothing fancy. I just lightly taped a piece of aluminum from the kitchen under the flash to redirect the flash. It worked quite well. I had to make small adjustments to get the illumination I wanted, but it wasn't technical at all either. I was in a hurry, and I did it by trial and error.
Also useful was using a white peace of paper over the flash (relatively translucent) for shooting macro mode with a flash. This helped reduce the shadows that can occur in those situations.
I haven't had a chance to buy a slave flash yet, and I really can't afford one just yet.

Mollybee,
I ordered my FZ15 from Beach on Sunday evening and received it today (I'm in Colorado). I did it all on the internet and did not get a call from sales. I purchased a 256MB SD card (Kingmax 66X) from Newegg for ~$30 shipped. Ordered it Monday received it yesterday. I haven't looked into a spare battery yet.
