I am using this for everyday photos and want a high resolution, easy to use camera. Using a Minolta S414 now but want a 2nd camera that is faster, smaller, etc.
FINALLY decided on Canon A95 and was rather impressed with the Sony - I don't need much manual control - just want something to capture huigh quality images fast!
Any comments? I am buying tomorrow!!!
I have heard people say that while the Sony is much faster than the Canon, the Canon takes better pictures. The P100 is much smaller and lighter than the A95, if this makes a difference to you. I think I've also heard that the P150 is better than the P100.

Thanks for the feedback - how does the P150 do against the A95?

I have owned my share of Canons-Canon S50, S410, and SD200...yes, their images are "very very good" but I am getting BETTER IMAGES from my new SONY P200 (with contrast and color settings on "+"). The weird thing is that I don't need 7 mpgs - I have it set to 5 Mpg- but the consensus is that the P150/200 has LESS NOISE than the P100 . There are supposed to be other "quirks" with the P100 (e.g. blurry pictures) that you don't get with the P200 (can't say firsthand about the P150). The A95 is an AWESOME camera but it's simply too bulky for most people (including me) to carry around. And if you don't have a camera with you, how are you going to capture those wonderful, spontaneous photo moments? I have said it before BUT unfortunately, most people need a LARGE camera (dSLR preferably) and a Great Ultracompact Camera that they can always take with them.
