Just got my Z3, $310 at CirCity. Love it, great value! Need backup battery. Anyone know about products from www.camcorder-battery.org out of California? They advertise a batt for $35, incl s&h. Sounded good!

buy.com has the Maxell version for $23. Add another item worth $2 and you get the shipping for free. I have the Maxell and it is equal to the OEM that came with the camera.

Can someone clue me into how the free shipping works. I just tried ordering the battery and one other $3 trinket and it said the shipping would be $11.50. Does every item in your order have to qualify for free shipping, or was my problem just due to the fact that it looked like one item was going to ship sooner than the other?

It appears everything must be eligible for free shipping.
I ordered a battery and a toy and there was a charge then I tried 2 batteries and it was free.

Thanks, Gene. The key detail I originally missed was that all items had to come from the "Computer, Software, Electronics, Digital Camera, Home Networking, Book, Music, DVD, and Video stores" to qualify for the $25 level.

So, I got a DVD instead of a tackle box. :)

Wow, that didn't take long. Even with the budget shipping option from Buy.com, the Maxell battery arrived within four days. It fit firmly in the charger, counter to one complaint I had read about the battery. The final test will be how long it holds a charge. So far, so good.
