I notice the USB port on the FZ20 is called AV Out... Does this allow instantaneous viewing of pictures on a PC/Laptop. This would be in a studio for example.
I saw on "The Apprentice" last season where a photo shoot had the pictures appearing on a PC in real time and was wondering what is required to have this kind of setup...
Thanks!

It allows you to view on a TV if it has video in, /and a computer if it has a video capture card or device.

Live you can use it to compose the photo. What you see on the LCD you can see on the TV.

As in the FZ10, you can get "live" viewfinder on A/V-out only if the camera has "USA" locality. I got a FZ20 in "Euro-UK-Asia" locality, I reconfigured locality to USA, and I finally got the live viewfinder on PAL (B/W, anyways).
More info on "FZ10 rough guide".
I wonder if that rarely useable feature will drain too much battery power... :)

Just click on vkelim's site (http://www.users.bigpond.com/vkelim/DMCFZ10/node67.html) (unvaluable amount of information on his site, 99% of them useful also for FZ10). :D

Oops :D I just meant "an FZ10 site, 99% of things good also for FZ20".
Please note that changing Locality will mean reset every setting (including the photo counter, e.g. P1000001.JPG etc). Read everything on that page before you go...!

I've tried the switch to USA on my UK FZ20. It works OK, but note that the output is no longer in PAL format, so only shows in black & white.

I have a fresh FZ20, witch is proberbly set to "europa", but I can find out how to change it to "USA" - I did trye the guide, but did not succed - it would help if I knew hoe the screen was looking (while doing the steps)
Also The guide tells in #3 to turn off the camera, while #4 just say to press some buttons (nothing about switching the camara on again) - is it just me, witch are dumb.
if someone could make a more "exact" how-to, it would be great.
(bwt. when pressing 2 buttons, does it matter witch one is pressed first ?)
