Hi folks
Just got back from Egypt taking photos with my FZ-20 - had a great time and took some great shots.
Anyway, (hands up who can see where this is going..!) I am concerned that the manual focus ring on my FZ-20 now feels "grittier" than before my trip. It obviously needs to be cleaned out following the trip to the desert despite my being as careful as I could.
Does anyone have any experience of this - I notice on the ring that there are three small screws, presumably to remove it? But there again I don't feel confident with this (would prefer not to void my warranty).
Any advice would be most appreciated.

PS: never go to a desert without something to protect your lens; I was using an Hoya HMC 62mm UV filter interchangeably with a 62mm Jessops linear polariser - both now have micro scratches on (despite my trying to keep them clean while in the sand sea); however I'm happy to report tha the FZ-20's lens is scratch free :)
