I recently bought a DSC-W1, this was a compromise. On one hand i wanted my parents to be pleased with it, and i wanted it to be simple, compact, etc. Insuring they could use it and not be bafflled. I was aware that the way sonys compress images was somewhat inferior but my parents were wooed by the Carl Zeiss lens, therefore i wasn't given too much of a choice. The only thing i really liked about the camera was the large LCD and the AA bateries.

The main glaring problem i have seen with this camera is the fact that all my images seem to turn out blue. This is increadibly annoying! i was wondering if there is anyway to correct this?

You may have already solved this problem, but I think keeping the mode dial on the top of your camera on the green icon should solve your color woes.

The W1's modes are the key to successful operation. I say this often, but a careful reading of the (long) instruction book -- while daunting -- will uncover all of the camera's glories.
