I have the DMC-FZ3 and I am really interested in doing some time lapse. I know there isn't a time lapse mode but I was wondering if there is a possible solution or if anyone has done this themselves.

Page 56 of the manual describes how to
select the motion rate, not really time lapse.

It should be easy to do it manually. Just sit there with your camera on a tripod, hold a watch in your hand, and push the shutter button at regular intervals. Should work ok for marching shadows, moving clouds and stuff like that but watching grass grow of flowers bloom it might get a bit tedious :)

Since the FZ3 does not have a wired remote port about the only way to automate it would be to create a electro-mechanical plunger driven by a clock to press the shutter release for you. There are problems with this idea too as the camera has a nasty habit of going to sleep to preserve the battery.
