I bought a Kodak DC210+ digital camera (1Mp, 29-58mm F4.0-F4.7, compactflash, 4xAA-batteries) back in April 1999.

Today I found that its power supply fits perfectly for my FZ20:
- plug is the same as FZ20
- polarity is the same
- output: declared 7.0V 1.8A
- and currently it has been up for more than one hour, doing photos and USB transfer, and it's all OK (and FZ20 is not hot).

Kodak part number is 190-9282.

In spite of the label "Use with Kodak digital camera (Made in Japan)" it runs great, and it saves me some bucks. YAY!!! :D

1.8 Amps??
What are the specs on the FZ20 power
adapter?

Specs for the Panasonic adapter are 8.4V @ at least 1.2 amps (I forget the exact value I got from the Panasonic customer service; it's at least that high, possibly 1.8A), but if you look at the FZ20 spec page, the camera draws only 2.4 watts maximum, which would translate to less than 300 ma. I suspect the adapter is designed to power the camera at the same time as charging the battery.
